Hey, guess what! My house didn’t sell this weekend, and today after church we pretty much did… nothing. That leaves slim pickings for posting, really. Let’s see. Possible topics for tonight include:
1) Whining about the fact that my house hasn’t sold yet;
2) Rambling on and on about the joys of a day at home where I spend the entire day sniping at the children to PICK UP PICK UP and snatching laundry from the dryer and putting it away IMMEDIATELY because the house must be kept clean (see item 1);
3) Pointing out that my acne has apparently not been notified either of the fact that I’m in my mid-30s or that I’m getting married next week;
4) The fact that my friend Julia is taking a walk.
Hmmm. Let’s see. Yep; asking for money narrowly beats out whining about the mundane.
Those of you who’ve been around here for a while will remember Julie as the reason I decided to walk 60 miles last summer. I didn’t manage to finish the walk, because I am a delicate flower and I got sick. That’s the bad news. The good news is that I raised a bunch of money before that happened. The even BETTER news is that Julie is not only still cancer-free, but now she’s doing a 5k to raise money for breast cancer research.
Go give her some money if you’re so inclined. Otherwise I am totally going to just bitch about the real estate market every day until my house sells. Let’s not let it come to that.
You are entitled to whine! Everything will fall into place when it is supposed to.
Oh, BTW, you are still #1 for The Best Parenting Blog category!! :D
Happy Monday.
Oh I’m so sorry about your house. Feel free to email if you want to trade whining notes on this topic – we’re going on 6 months ourselves. Sigh.
In case you haven’t heard this 100 times before, how about burying a St. Joseph statue in the yard. Can’t hurt, right?
That’s great for Julie!
Went back to re-read that post. Hot Doctor–heh!
Nothing wrong with wine. Oh, wait.
I agree Bossy he he he Hope the house sells soon and WTG Julie
I gave all my extra cash to my aunt’s breast cancer walk-athon team that she’s dubbed Two Abreast (She and her daughter will be doing the walking). I’m so glad she still has her sense of humor. Hope Julie does too!
I would buy your house. You’ll take payments for a bajillion years, right? (Or as my son said “a Google years, that’s the biggest number”) Actually… I am not sure I know where you live… wanna move to Canada?
Hope this will make you feel better. If Otto were selling his house in Atlanta you might wait forever for him. My husband had to pay all the expenses on his ex’s house until it sold in Atlanta. It took a full year past the date of divorce. She lived in a 2 story house and did not work for a living while he worked 70-80 hours a week & lived in a room above the offices where he worked. Meanwhile, I lived in Arkansas trying to sell my house. (Finally sold his, took mine off the market & he moved to Arkansas).
We were remarried after 20 years apart & are gloriously happy.
THRILLED to hear that Julie is cancer-free! That’s such great news ;-)
I’m about to put my house on the market — you scare me!
