Elsewhere, because I’m not here

So, as much as I would love to stay here and treat you to my standard prattling on about nothing, I cannot, today. For today is the day that I get to go repeat one of the more awesome experiences of my recent life. Whatever could it be? Am I going to recreate Otto’s and my wedding? Win the lottery? Get a really awesome deal on shoes?

Alas, no. Today I have to go have another MRI. And you might recall how much I enjoyed the first one. Naturally—because I NEVER LEARN—I made plans for after this one, too. Because nothing says “let’s get together and hang out like adults” like a giant crease on the forehead and some bedhead. Er, MRIhead.

If you need some entertainment, here’s a few other options: You can read about my new clear skin secret and then go enter to win your own. Of you can think about greening Thanksgiving a little, or check out a couple of recipes I’ll be using this year and why I love making bread.

Now if you’ll excuse me, I have to go dangle my boobs through some holes.

Whee! And you can spend your time happily thinking up this year’s I-am-thankful’s: I am thankful for cold tables and the goose-bumps they inspire, I am thankful for paper gowns with amusing concepts of “coverage,” I am thankful for claustrophobia inducing machinery that requires terribly dignified postures… you go find that gratitude Mir.

Best of luck today! Hope it goes quickly and not to bad.

Ummm, have fun? You can always be THANKFUL that it’s over…

Oh, I’m so excited for you! It is truly an awesome experience. NOT.

I hope your arm doesn’t hurt as much afterward as mine did. Have a great Thanksgiving!

Wait, repeat one of the more awesome experiences of your recent life and winning the lottery is one of the possibilities? Did you really win at lottery recently? I mean, probably not millions of dollars, cuz that I would have remembered, but did you like win a grand or something? Because that’s really cool, if you did.

Ah, whenerever I have a mammogram, I think of you and your square boob holes . . wait, that didn’t sound right!

  7. Ariel

Well? At least you know what to expect?

It could be worse. I had to have my 11 earrings cut out by a nurse before I had my first MRI. I hope your MRI goes better than that and they don’t find anything!

Good luck with your MRI. I just read about the clear skin device you’re using andI must say that your skin looked amazing in the picture! I cringe at the price of this sonic miracle worker, but the results are astounding…were you really not wearing foundation?

Hope it’s not as harrowing as last time. Either way, by the time you read this it will be over.

I hope it went better the second time around for you! And speaking of baking, I made your beer cheese bread again this past weekend and thought of you. It will certainly cure what ails you – I suggest a loaf or two for your household.

Oh my, you got me with that last line. Now I have ice water all over my keyboard and coming out my nose.

What the heck, right? I had a colonoscopy scheduled for tomorrow morning – just what every girl wants the day before Thanksgiving. Fortunately for me, they called on Friday to cancel. :)
