I want you to know that I feel extremely lame posting these as the follow-up to having spent an evening with Ludacris, but I can’t be rubbing elbows (or grabbing asses) with celebrities ALL the time. I tire easily, y’all. I’m a delicate flower, you know.
Nevertheless, a few links for you if you just cannot get enough of me (I know, I know):
WIN: I’m hosting a really neat Father’s Day contest at Want Not that you may want to check out if you or Dad are sports fans.
READ: Who doesn’t love dairy? Communists (and vegans) (sorry, vegans!), that’s who. I’m going to be writing a series for the Dairy Management folks this summer, and the first installment is up for your reading pleasure.
LISTEN: This one is for fellow bloggers and/or marketers, but I was interviewed last week by Maria Reitan, the brains behind a show called Purse Strings, about marketing to bloggers. The podcast is now available here if you want to have a listen.
This weekend I’m off to battle the dining room walls again. Pray for me.
Good luck in the dining room! (Otto – Be gentle with her.)
I posted a comment on that sports photo giveaway since it’s the day before Father’s Day and I’m empty-handed, other than the card I mailed this morning which should arrive sometime next week. I am so lame. Then again, he still hasn’t sent gifts for the kids’ birthdays (in March and May) so I don’t fee too bad.
p.s. I am referring to my own dad, btw. The kids don’t have one.
Mir-
Good Luck with the walls!
I posted on the sports page too…. then I realized that we’re not on the same time zone and I missed the dang time limit… how sad! I guess you live and learn – run errands after reading favorite blog!
Have a good weekend!
Good luck in the dinning room!
I hope the dining room doesn’t swallow you whole!
Did you ever read The Yellow Wallpaper by Charlotte Perkins Gilman? It’s about a woman who goes mad staring at this bizarre wallpaper in her room. You might enjoy it at this point. Or at least use it as a cautionary tale…
Thanks for linking us to other stuff you write, I enjoy reading you! (even though that just gave me some kind of pervy literal image) :-o
OK, call me crazy, but I kept reading and re-reading that as “Diary” … so I’m thinking, That Mir! Why does she always have to pick on us vegans? I have nothing against diaries!
Very nice article on food choices and family dining, Mir. Is that Tasty Breakfast photo by Otto? Kudos to you both. I notice a commenter mentioned home-made potato chips, reminding me of a long ago treat at a friend’s house of making and eating home-made french-fries.
P.S. Happy Fathers Day!
I listened to the podcast.
I couldn’t figure out what what so impressive? Duh, women use the internet. Duh, women look up products on the net. Duh, women decide how to spend 80% of the household income. Duh, female bloggers don’t like being spammed with generic marketing formletters addressed to “Dear Blogname,”
It’s amazing to me that corporations think that the women who rasied them, or are married to them are so foriegn and hard to market to.
::sigh::
My husband (who does computer programming for an internet advertising start up) overheard and came in to listen. He was pretty impressed with what he heard. I’m glad the message is getting out there. Apparantly there are companies who still need to hear it.
Really, how CAN you follow up a post in which you show a picture of yourself with Ludacris?
Ah, dairy. My son can’t have any, since his stomach has been acting up. We see the doc specialist this summer. In the meantime, no dairy? In Wisconsin? Hear me cry.
