Don’t sweat the cold stuff

It’s time once again for an installment of “Mir pretends to know things about parenting.” I’m your host, and you probably shouldn’t listen to anything I say.

With that confidence-inspiring intro, I give you my latest Q&A over on Alpha Mom: How do you make your kid dress appropriately for the weather?

  1. Mary K. in Rockport

Interestingly, this was not a topic I had much of a struggle with in my casa. But I remember my neighbor’s daughters with their freshly washed and wet hair walking to school with the tips of said hair frozen in little tinkling clumps. Not surprisingly, they often had terrible colds.

  2. Loth

The school that both of my sons attend requires boys to wear shorts as part of the school uniform from age about 5 to age about 11. That applies right through the year here in tropical Scotland. No-one appears to have died from exposure yet.
