Interestingly, this was not a topic I had much of a struggle with in my casa. But I remember my neighbor’s daughters with their freshly washed and wet hair walking to school with the tips of said hair frozen in little tinkling clumps. Not surprisingly, they often had terrible colds.

The school that both of my sons attend requires boys to wear shorts as part of the school uniform from age about 5 to age about 11. That applies right through the year here in tropical Scotland. No-one appears to have died from exposure yet.
