I did get some chocolate today. In a heart-shaped box, even. And it’s very nice, and all.
But I also got my kids giving my husband a card onto which they had recorded a “WE LOVE YOU OTTOOOOOOOOOOOO!!” message that prefaced a recording of “We Are Family” by Sister Sledge.
And then I got to disco-dance with my family while it played. (P.S. We are family, and we are also extremely bad dancers.)
Happy Valentine’s Day!
AAAAWWWWW…. as in AWESOME!! Your family is the best! = )
Ah, good times. Now, I’ve got Sister Sledge stuck in my head. Not a bad thing, really. Unless, you are one of my kids. And Momma gets all jiggly with it :) Happy V-day!
Happy hearts, flowers and chocolates day!
Our family has that darn nerd gene too. Bad dancers every one of us…
Happy Valentine’s Day to you too! Enjoy!
that song will forever make me think of The Birdcage with Robin Williams, Nathan Lane and Gene Hackman dressed in drag. for-ever.
so, yeah, now it’s stuck in my head and I have that visual, thanks. =)
Happy Valentine’s Day. sounds like you guys are off to the right start for the day.
We are a mixed race family — one dance crazy and one dance avoider. I love the vision in my head of your fam-i-leeee, videos would be even better?
Soooo how was the date last night and when do we get to see pics of the fabulous new dress???
That song just reminds me of the Birdcage. So now I’m picturing your whole family dressed up as drag queens.
That sounds awesome. Happy Valentine’s Day!
Hmmmm… whereas I comPLETEly forgot it was Valentines and thus actually went. to. the. mall. Wherin there was much stupidity of humankind and verily all was vile. So I left.
I theeeenk you maybe won this one!
I like your alliteration, Megan!
And Mir, your family is just too cute today! ;-)
It sounds like you had a lovely day. I hope all the WCS readers had a great Valentine’s Day, too. I forgot to buy anything for the kids and we had to squeeze in a last-minute trip to Border’s during our Valentine’s date to get one card and one book for each of them.
We had no chocolate on the actual day, though I bought a molten chocolate cake mix and a mocha brownie mix and promised to make them soon as a V-day gift for Partner. (I’d hoped to bake tomorrow but the day got crazy and I didn’t.) I also printed out the recipe for Monkey’s mint chocolate truffle b-day cake and promised to make that one, too, though the more I look at that recipe the more complicated it gets. I’m going to try it today. Tell me I can do it, Mir! I’m a moderately good baker.
now that is a memorable Valentine’s presentation.
fabulous truly fabulous – :) I love what the kids did
for your Otto – how can that not hit you right where it
counts for Valentines :) – in the heart, oh and in a good
way too.
