A different kind of tough love

After the first time Licorice destroyed one of Duncan’s toys, I put away all of the stuffies for a while. We have some (relatively) indestructible dog toys, and things like tennis balls (motto: a super fun toy if you enjoy pooping out bits of felt), and that seems to keep the dogs happy.

Today, though, everyone needed a little cheering up. I found a battered old teddy bear in the bag of “Duncan’s stuff from before,” and his joy at rediscovering his old pal was… enthusiastic.

Is there anything more cheery than the murderous joy of dismemberment? Also, what is that “hike” thing he does–I have never seen a dog do that before.

Duncan needs to be a football team mascot so that he gets to do that with a football!

He is so adorable. I still smile at the idea of the two rescues you now having living under your roof :-) You done good, Mir.

Guess the Bats needed a tackle dummy for practice! Love the Duncan voiceover, especially his “private moment” with Teddy.
Thank you for helping to give us all a little cheering up.

We used racquetballs for our smallish dog. No yellow fuzz! ;-)

That’s brilliant. We have some DuraDoggie balls, too (no fuzz), but they both prefer the fuzzy ones. So that they can eat the fuzz. [No one accused these dogs of being geniuses.]

OK, that made me smile. Thanks for the Duncan vid. I have never seen a football dog like Duncan. The Bats are lucky to have him on the team.

    Awww, cute!

And on a completely different subject, I love the fabric on your couch! So nice!

I love that little guy! Look how happy he is with that teddy bear, trying to hike it. I think he killed it dead whipping it all around. Go, Duncan!

OK, so the dog was cute, but the narration is what killed me. Thanks for the laugh this morning. :)
