That reminds me of a story when I was a little kid. I barely remember this, but apparently when my grandmother went to Texas and took me and my sister I got these little Lisa Frank kitty stickers (you know, the technicolor ones?), and I just adored these stickers. So, shortly before my mom and dad divorced when I was 8, I decided to put one (I think it was purple, but I can't remember) on my dad's very favorite belt buckle. Visitation was pretty much nonexistent, so I didn't know until many years later that not only did he keep that sticker on the buckle until it wore off, it's the thing that struck up a conversation between him and my now-stepmom (who I love to teeny tiny bits).
