Similar situation, except on a PC (which is why I FINALLY returned to my Mac roots and bought a Macbook a few months ago YES!!!!) and it was YEARS of email I lost. God, that's the worst feeling in the world. Bunker Hubby had to restrain me from throwing myself out the window (which, this being a Bunker and only one level and all, would have been more embarrassing than painful. But still). The good part of this is, you have motivated me to get off my lazy duff and start backing up my own harddrive (and also find out if it's a Seagate). Danke, hon! Ohhhhh my God. I think I might cry for you a little bit now.
