I think it is ABSOLUTELY INSANE to even consider doing it on a child who is <i>awake</i>, much less gasless. I'm 46, and I <i>wanted</i> it done, and I still nearly crawled out of my skin when they did the needle thing on the roof of my mouth. And I haven't the slightest idea how you stayed vertical. You are an amazing woman and deserve to have a trumpet fanfare greeting you every time you leave the house. I'd have passed out. I just had the skin graft thing done–twice since January, in fact.
