The very pretty Jackie nominated me for a whole slew of these Bloggers Choice awards, and I don’t really know what they are or if I should care, but here’s a handy link to go vote if you are so compelled. (I’m only linking the parenting category because, um, I’m lazy.)
I have a problem with trying to label things as “best” because my world is populated by endless shades of grey and I have a natural aversion to such absolutes, but in the absence of contests with easier-to-determine measures, I guess I’ll have to take what I can get.
There’s no “Most brutally honest about how much therapy her children require” category. Or “Most likely to blog about boob pus” category. Or even “Most verbose about things of no consequence at all” category. So this was the best I could do. (Get it? Best? Hello?)

I like the “verbose about nothing” category, but it’s kinda what makes your writing so cool. I really do think the best parenting blog nod is well deserved though…you write so well about your children and it’s all touching and inspiring and hilarious :-)

Mir, the categories are slim with choices. So, I chose everything possible. If I could vote everyday I would. They allow one vote per email. I KNOW everyone who reads your writing will vote for you!! Even if you don’t win, YOU are still a winner in my books and in my favorites! ;)
AND I have to say when I looked to see where you were on this list…you are in second place in the Best Parenting Blog category!

Do you know what amazes me about your blog, other than your fantastic writing skill? It’s the way you can make your readers care about you. Is that a corny thing to say? Your readers love you! How do you do that? Also, you are honest, funny, and a lot more open than I can bring myself to be in a public forum. I’m going to vote now…
